Windows 10: cannot get ms11 to connect my roku8 tv for multiple display

why does ms11 refuse to connect my roku tv when it is listed as both a miracast monitor and a wireless device for audio

• What is the make and model of the laptop?
• How exactly is your laptop connected to LG TV?
• Is it through HDMI cable?

Firstly I would suggest you to update the display drivers and then try to set up multiple monitors.

Follow the below steps to update the Graphics card drivers and check if it helps:

• Click on 'Start' and type 'Device Manager' in the start search box and press enter.
• Click on the “Display adapters” to expand the list.
• Right-click on drivers and update it.
• If there are no update available, then go ahead and reinstall the driver by clicking on 'Uninstall'.
• Restart the PC

Multiple display

Hi,

To connect to a wireless display, try these steps

• Press Windows+P and change the projection mode to the one you like, for example, Duplicate projects what the computer screen shows to the TV
  
• Check if the TV is connected to the same network as your computer. Both of your devices need to be on the same network.
  
• If your PC if connected via a LAN, or wired internet connection cable, you may not be able to project, since the TV is not connected to the same network. Try again removing the internet cable and connecting to your TV's wireless network.
  
• Check if your TV supports screen sharing. If it is a smart TV, it probably does.
  

 

Laptopc can´t connect to TV

Hi,

Please reply to the questions mentioned below in order to assist you in a better way.

• Are you connecting the PC and TV using a HDMI cable?
• Did you make any changes prior to the issue?

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

• First you need a video cable for making the physically connection. For better picture quality, you should connect the computer to the TV using standard VGA ports or via the DVI to HDMI cable provided your TV supports these ports.
• Open the "display settings" in your computer and activate output to the TV screen. You can either mirror content of your computer on the TV or extend the display just like a dual monitor screen.
• Pick up your TV remote and switch to "External Inputs" from the menu. You will need to change the default "Video 1" to a different selection which may be "HDMI 1" or "Video 2" depending on how you have made the connection.

Important: Make sure you connect the cable to the TV before turning on the computer as sometimes it may fail to recognize external display.

You may also need to change the screen resolution of your TV using the Display settings in your Control Panel else the picture may appear distorted.

Please revert if you face any issues with PC not connecting to TV.
