I need a slick E-mail program!

My parents are absolutely stonewall about keeping AOL. The best reason they can give me for keeping it is the easy to use E-mail interface. I ain't arguing, I haven't found anything easier to use, but it TAKES SO MUCH MEMORY! And so I'm thinking that if I can find something nice and easy to use, I might be able to get my parents to use it instead of AOL, and finally get the bloatware known as AOL off my computer! The requirements-

• Must be easy to use
• Can't be browser-based (so AIM mail, Yahoo, and MSN are no-no's)
• Preferably compatible with AOL mail, my parents don't want to switch E-mail accounts
• Can't be Mozilla Thunderbird...I tried it and it sucks in terms of multiple E-mail accounts, and it erased all my saved mail *Frown .

Any ideas?

The USA's largest ISP has been free since August 2nd, 2006. Unfortunately for AOL users, or more specificially anyone who wants to contact them, all of that's about to change. In an effort to cut down spam and phishing scams, AOL has installed a service from "Goodmail", which theoretically allows only good mail through. However, to be considered "good" to the server, E-mail has to be given an encrypted seal of approval. Once this service is installed, users of AOL and AIM mail will be able to send messages, but in order for someone to reply, they have to pay Goodmail a fee.

advanced setup in windows 10 for verizon/aol e-mail in windows mail

i have had verizon/aol e-mail as my windows e-mail several times on my windows 10 lenova thinkpad computer but over the past year or so it gets glitzy and stops working . I go back reset it back up, works for awhile and then stops working (and as before i get the message "your settings are out of date").

i have tried several times in the last 6 months to reset it back up but have had no success [strangely enough, on the aol mail app on my ipad pro and samsung phone it works!]

i have even tried advanced set-up but i do not see a spot to input the ingoing and outgoing server port numbers....

i had similar problems on the ipad and phone's regular native e-mail apps and had to set it up on the aol app before i could get my e-mail.

Is this some sort of aol/verizon exclusivity thing [only working on the aol app] or is there some steps i am missing on all my devices [ipad pro 2021 11", Samsung Galaxy S20+ and this device].

i am not so concerned about having to use the aol e-mail app for e-mail on my other devices but it would be nice

to strictly use microsoft's e-mail [Note: it also does not work in Office 365's "Outlook"] to get my e-mail on my computer.

Anyone out there ever have a similar problem and come up with a solution?

If so, please give me a current step by step on how to input all the advanced settings including where to input the server ports for microsoft e-mail and Outlook.
