Windows 10: Cannot get to mouse settings

I am trying to change the mouse settings on a notebook running Windows 11. Open the Windows icon and select: Settings -> Bluetooth & devices -> and here is the problem On my desktop the list has an entry for Mouse. On my notebook, there is no entry for Mouse. Both are running Windows 11. I worked this for about an hour, the two were different. Now when I start writing up a question, and getting ready to take a screenshot to put in my question, the notebook started working and showed the Mouse settings. Is there anything I can do when the notepad, running Windows 11, refuses t

• Navigate to Start>Settings>Devices.
• Click on Mouse and Touchpad.
• In the right pane, click on Additional Mouse Settings.
• Under Pointer tab, Click on Use Default.
• Click on Apply and OK.

Mouse lag

I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have tried to resolve the issue. I suggest you to install all pending Windows updates and check. Follow the steps below and check if that helps.

• Type Mouse and Touchpad Setting in Search and hit
  Enter.
• Change settings as per your requirement; click on Advance mouse options.
• Change settings under Buttons, Points, Pointer options, Wheel.
