  1. Cannot get User Account Control notification to stop for a program

I have a program that runs my CPU water cooler and I want it to run on startup. I went through properties>compatibility>change settings for all users>run this program as an administrator.I also went in Task Scheduler and made a task for it to run with the highest privileges. When I restart my computer I still get the popup from UAC asking if I want to allow it. It is my home PC so I have it on the second lowest UAC setting and I would rather not turn off notifications but at this point I'm out of ideas. Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

    :)

  2. User Account Control

    Hello Ridho,

To enable the User Account Control (UAC) on Windows 10, please follow these steps:

    • Click the Start button, type UAC.
    • Click Change User Account Control settings.
    • Choose between two options to enable UAC:
      • Notify when apps try to make changes to your computer.
      • Always notify when installing or making any changes to your computer.
    • Click OK.
    • Click Yes or enter your password to finalize the change.
Steps to disable User Account Control (UAC).

    • Click the Start button, type UAC.
    • Click Change User Account Control settings.
    • Click Yes or enter your password.
    • Set the settings to Never notify.
    • Click OK to save the settings.
    Regards.

Cannot Stop Repeated User Account Control Message for Shockwave

Every few hours or so I keep getting a User Account Control message regarding an Unknown Program. The details show it is regarding Shockwave Flash but as far as I am aware I do not have this installed anywhere (certainly not in the Uninstall list of programs).

I have tried downloading it and uninstalling it but to no avail.

Any idea how to remove it altogether to prevent the messages? (I don't want to stop User Account Control messages, just this particular annoyance).

    Windows 10 version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.1110)
