    Cannot get windows to start ,what can I do?


    I turn on my Optiplex 7010, the word Dell appears, then the windows logo with dots moving in a circular pattern. Then the windows logo disappears and the circle stays and my cursor. I have to hard turn it off as the ctr-alt-delete does not work. I am frantic of course as all my photos and documents are on that computer. Suggestions, advice appreciated.

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
