Windows 10: Cannot hear sound via my wired earplugs

Hi,I just plugged my wired earplugs in the 3.5 mm jack of my new laptop. On playing a video, i heard the sound properly and i then got a pop up asking me to confirm the device type. I clicked on in line there and checked the box for do not ask me again. Since thin i have not been able to hear any sound from a video playing on my laptop via the earplug.How do i get the hear the sound via my wired earplug?Thank you.

upgraded to windows 10, no sound through headphones/earplugs

have upgraded to windows 10, no sound at all, updated the sound driver but getting no sound through earplugs/ headphones, please help

As per the description I understand that you are unable to hear the email notification sound.

I suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps:

  Go to Control Panel Items
  
• 
  Click on Sound.
  
• 
  Click on Sounds Tab.
  
• 
  Click on Desktop Mail Notification.
  
• 
  Click TEST.
  
• 
  Click OK.
  

And check if you are able to hear the email notification sound.
