Windows 10: Cannot initialise new SSD.

Hello,I have purchased a new SSD and an enclosure so as I can upgrade the SSD C drive in my laptop. When attempting to initialise the disk, I have no option listed in Disk Managementisk 2 is the enclosure with the new SSD in it. Following other guides on the internet, I then tried Command Prompt and DiskPart:As you can see, Disk 2 is not listed.I purchased another enclosure, and another SSD and have exactly the same problem, so can rule out those components unless I'm REALLY unlucky.I also tried the same process when connected to my wife's laptop, with exactly the same resultsI have seen

new ssd won't initialise

i am trying to upgrade my ssd and for that i bought a new ssd and an enclosure to help me clone it but when i connect it to my laptop it recognises it as a removable disk with no volume. it says drive f: is not accessible incorrect function. and i am not getting option to initialise this. i have tried multiple options online none have worked please help me.

 

SSD will not initialise

Hello,

When I open disk management, I see my C: drive and also my SSD drive which shows as "Not initialised".

At the moment, the SSD is connected via a STA to USB cable.

However, whenever I select the "initialise" option, the screen appears where I have to select the disk and either MBR or GPT, but when I do so and click OK, the screen closes and the little wheel spins for a second or so and nothing further happens.

Any further advice how I can fix this, please?

New SSD installed Disk Management won’t show “Initialise Disk”
