Windows 10: Cannot insert discs into my external CD/DVD ROM player with windows 11

I have an iMac m3 only months old with Parallels 19 and windows 11. I have an Apple external cd/dvd writer/player connected to the Mac with a hob to use usb 2 to the usb c format. I cannot insert a dvd into the player as it seems reluctant. To check if the drive is ok I plugged it into my husbands older iMac and the drive is fine, a dad loads. Am I missing something with windows 11, as this drive worked on my windows 10 setup. I appreciate any assistance.

Wrong icon when I insert a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM

Help me out here, each time I insert a DVD into my DVD player I get the wrong icon (yes, earlier today I installed Mafia III and it stayed that way. It's not supposed to...)

How can I get my old icon back?

As you can see, it doesn't match. Each game disc gives me the Mafia III logo instead of the icon of the corresponding game...

So how can I fix it?

 

DVD/CD Rom doesn't recognise discs anymore

my DVD/CD rom will no longer read any discs that are inserted. I was able to burn photos to a disc earlier today but now it wont it is saying there is no disc inserted! Please help
