    Cannot install gaming services. Have not found a useful solution for this.


    This is on a new laptop with windows 11 pro.I have updated all drivers and windows updatesBoth xbox and Microsoft store are signed in with the same accountHave tried uninstalling and reinstallingHave tried almost all PowerShell recommendationsPlease give an update and solution to this as I cannot use a service I am paying for.

    Gaming Services and the Minecraft Launcher Will Not Install

    Error code: 0x80070490

    Device: Brand new Acer Nitro 17.

    I'm trying to install the Minecraft Launcher. When I click install and go to the Library page of the Windows Store I see it's trying to install both the MC Launcher and also Gaming Services. Both fail to install and give the above error code.

    Things I've tried:
    1) Windows Update - I've installed all updates, including optional updates.

    2) Resetting the Gaming Services app via the Apps menu. Gaming Services IS NOT IN THE LIST.

    3) Resetting the Windows Store per this suggestion (Redirecting)

    4) wsreset.exe

    While resetting the Windows Store I get a number of errors. I've pasted the results of step 2.3 here: Add-AppxPackage : Deployment failed with HRESULT: 0x80073D02, The package could - Pastebin.com

    While resetting the Windows Store and reinstalling Gaming Services (step 3.2 and 3.3 in the suggestion above)

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    Thank you for your prompt response.

    It appears that you are able to install the Gaming Services app and is pending for updates. We are going to perform repair or reset with on the said application. To do so, follow the steps below:

    Restart your device and after restarting, launch the Xbox app. If it prompts to install the update of the gaming services app, try perform or repair the said app. Follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + I to open up Settings.
    • Go to Settings / Applications / Apps & features or Installed apps
    • type Gaming Services in the search box
    • click on Gaming Services and click advanced options.
    • Scroll down to "Repair" and let it run. If the issue still persists, select Reset.
