Windows 10: Cannot install latest patch on Windows 10

Hello!


I am struggling since a few days with a computer in our environment which doesn't install latest cumulative patches.


If I check winver in this computer the patch level is 17763.1339


1339 = KB4558998





But if I check the Installed Updates on this computer I can see that KB4586793 has been installed in November already.


KB4586793 = 1577 according to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/november-10-2020-kb4586793-os-build-17763-1577-e6a24f90-5659-8b80-5a50-8752de3d90b7


I cannot install any update later then 1577 on this computer. At some point I was thinking that it had to do with Servicing Stack patch, but after installing KB4598480 and KB4601393 I am still unable to apply new patches to this computer.


It keeps saying 'This update is not applicable'.


I also did a SCCM repair and reset the Windows Update Components to make sure that was doing OK.

net stop appidsvc

net stop cryptsvc


Ren %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.bak

Ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 catroot2.bak


net start bits

net start wuauserv

Hope anyone can provide me support. I am clueless and struggling with this.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Crysis not working windows 10

Hey guys, so last night i installed crysis after not having played it in years but when it loads it just sits at a black screen for about 10 seconds then crashes.

Im running windows 10 64 bit home premium fresh install of the game patched to the latest version, i plan on re installing the game if need be but if anyone has a suggestion i could try first i would greatly appreciate it.

 

Is it time for Windows 10 already?
