Windows 10: Cannot install Microsoft visual C++ Redistributable 2015

I'm trying to download the Microsoft visual C++ Redistributable 2015, but it tells me the installation fails because I can't install it when a newer version has already been installed the 2017 version. and I'm worried to delete the 2017 version, encase any apps or programs also require it.





If anyone can help. please do!

I suggest you to uninstall any existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package to check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

Step 1: Uninstall the exiting Microsoft Visual C++.

a) Press Windows key + x key and select
Programs and Features.

b) Right click on the Microsoft Visual C++ and uninstall it.

Step 2: Download the latest Microsoft Visual C++ and install it.

I have been trying to download Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable many times and for some reason it won't install. The setup runs and ends perfectly fine with no error codes or what so ever. However, Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable is
not installed on my computer. I went to check in > Control panel > Programs and features, searched up Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable, and all I see is the installers but not the application.

Hope someone knows how to fix this error. Thanks in advance.

Uninstall all existing entries for Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable. Proceed to download both the 32 and 64 bit version then proceed to install:

Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Update 3 Redistributable (x86 and x64)
