Windows 10: Cannot Install Some Microsoft Store Applications 0x80070005

I've been able to install many applications via the Microsoft Store and also install updates but this applications is different in two regards:1 It's a game so much larger than the typical download2 During the installation process it gave me the option to install to a different disk so I choose D:\ instead of default C:\I'm receiving 0x80070005 error and it refuses to install.

the questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 installed? (Type winver
  in Windows search/Run command)
• What is the make and model of the PC?
• Are you able to install other apps from Microsoft Store?

• What is the date and time on the PC and ensure it is correct?
  
• Are you logged in to the PC as Standard/Administrator user account?
  
• Do you have any non-Microsoft Antivirus/security program installed?
  

Let us try a few steps and check.



Step 1: Fix the permissions of the Packages folder

1. Open File Explorer and navigate to this location:
   C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local
   
2. Now in the Local folder, locate the Packages
   folder.
   
3. Right click on Packages and select
   Properties.
   
4. Click the Security Tab, then click
   Advanced button and ensure that all the users listed have full control.

Step 2: Reinstall Windows 10 Store app using PowerShell

1. Press Windows + X key and select Windows PowerShell (Admin)
   
2. Copy and paste this command, and then press Enter:
   Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.WindowsStore | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
   
3. Once the process complete, restart the PC and check
   

Step 3: New User Administrator Account

If the issue persists, then we would suggest you to create a new administrator user account and check, refer this article to
create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10.
