Windows 10: Cannot install win 11 update due to Stardock 11 file it says exists, but doesn't

    Cannot install win 11 update due to Stardock 11 file it says exists, but doesn't


    I cannot install Win 11 update. It downloads successfully, but fails to install. Error message says that Stardock 11 is incompatible, but no files exist on my PC with Stardock 11. Thoughts appreciated. Thx. Bob

    Switching from Win 10 to Win 11

    Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be getting new MB and CPU when I move to Win11. And I always do system volume image backups after I successfully update Windows so no problem there *Smile. Cheers!

    I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

    I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

    I suggest you do a drive image backup of your current win 10 drive. I had some issues with Win 11 and I roll back using the Win10 image. As you don't have a Win 11 supported CPU, you have to tweak the Win 11 installation files.
