Windows 10: cannot install Windows 10 because your Wireless network card doesn’t meet update requirement

Hi,

Window 10 does not get installed after ESD provided downloaded from MS-support.com portal last day morning.

It showed 'cannot install Windows 10 because your Wireless network card doesn’t meet update requirement'.

My doubt is if wireless network card doesn't meet...so far, how could I manage to communicate online to this all.

I respect if any body knows how could I get solved of this problem and get installed of Win 10 pro asap.

Hi,

I have Windows 7 SP1 and I tried downloading Windows 10 using the media creation tool and got this error:

"You can't install windows 10 because your wireless network card does not meet upgrade requirements windows 10"

I use a netgear WG11 v2 network adapter.

What should I do?

I have a Sony Vaio E Series VPCEB16FG running Windows 7. I wanted to upgrade to 10 so I downloaded the 'Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant" tool to check whether my PC was compatible with 10 or not. It gave the green light in all the respects,
so I downloaded the Windows 10 ISO/setup on a flash drive. But when I run the setup, it says that it cannot install Windows 10 because my wireless network card doesn't meet upgrade requirements. I checked with Windows update. I tried the specific driver update.
In both the cases, no new updates were found for my wireless card. It's a
Commview Atheros AR9285, if it helps anyone. What are my options now? Can this driver or my PC be even updated? Since the upgrade assistant said my PC was compatible.

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Also, if anyone with the same/similar model/driver has updated successfully to 10, please do respond to this. I would prefer for a solution soon, since by July 29th, I wouldn't be able to update for free (right?)

Wireless Network Card Required - Can't install Windows 10

Hi,

Just downloaded Windows 10 64bit from Download Windows 10

The install started and received the message Windows 10 is unable to install due to not having a wireless network card, which is required to install Windows 10.

I am currently running Windows 7 and I use a USB wireless receiver (I guess an external network card?). Do I really have to go out and buy an actual network card to update to Windows 10? My USB receiver works fine.
