Windows 10: Cannot install Windows 10 on Lenovo Y70 - 70

I originally had windows 8.1 on my Lenovo Y70-70 and have had issues ever since I tried to upgrade to windows 10. I have tried everything by using the Microsoft creation tool for a complete clean install of windows 10 when I upgraded my ssd and have received all errors that are listed. I followed Microsoft's error codes to eliminate the issue and continue to receive all sorts of errors. I even created a live linux distribution to test all of the hardware and everything works. The other thing I was looking into is to see if I can "pre-install" the ssd using an adapter from another computer then install the ssd into the computer - but not sure if that is possible.


Any suggestions would help!!

Windows 10 Lenovo Y70-70 second screen HDMI-VGA, wrong resolution

I have a Lenovo Y70-70 laptop running Windows 10 (dual boot with Ubuntu). When I use the HDMI port to add an external monitor, the monitor complains that its not receiving the 1650*1080 that it wants (The visible screen is squashed laterally, suggesting
to me that it's actually receiving a 1080p signal - too high for this monitor). When I change the resolution of that second screen in "extend displays" mode in the "display" dialogue in "settings", whether higher or lower, this changes the resolution of the
image which is then being squashed into the image area on the second screen, while it still complains that the signal is not the 1650*1080 that it wants. I initially guessed that this was because the external HDMI to VGA adapter that I'm using between the
laptop and the monitor was not working correctly, however I know this is not the case, because when I boot up in ubuntu it works perfectly, with the operating system extending and detecting the right display size and delivering the correct signal via that
same adapter.

I've updated the drivers for both display adapters, i.e. "Intel HD Graphics 4600" and "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M", but the problem persists.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

 

Lenovo Y50-70 wifi issues


I have Lenovo Y50-70 UHD and i have installed Windows 10 64-bit version. Everything is perfect except for the wifi. I have installed these two drivers that lenovo suggests Screenshot but still my connecition is extremely slow. My network adapter is Broadcom 802.11ac .I also formatted windows 10 with UEFI. I don't know what other info do i have to provide you so as to help you help me but here are some photos that might help you.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
