Windows 10: Cannot keep personal apps and settings when installing Windows 11 through USB flash drive...

I've been trying to install Windows 11 from a USB flash drive but the setup will not let me keep my personal apps and settings when installing. Setup tells me the issue is a mismatch with the setup.exe language and my OS language in settings, even though I have checked several times to make sure these both matched up. the "setupact.log" file in C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther shows that both the host OS language and the target language are en-gb the target language though is en-GB in caps, don't know if that matters and that the installer is trying to install the correct edition, profession

Installing windows off of a USB stick

Step By Step from vista:
From admin cmd prompt

1. diskpart
1a. list disk
2. select disk 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

Copy Windows Vista's DVD ROM content to the Flash Drive

xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\ (d being your vista cd and e being your usb stick)

And that's it, boot off your usb disk

 

Installing Windows 7 via USB flash drive!

USB drive doesnt show up, even after a format through windows (XP)

u need a xp sp2 or 3 non modified disk
