Windows 10: Cannot launch any files.

From the file explorer / windows explorer / Or the Desktop. Double clicking a file does nothing. Right clicking the file and choosing 'open with', then choosing any listed app... does nothing.File icons show proper association. Word, excel, PDF, html, MPG, etc etc.Event viewer is not showing anything obvious. That I can find anyway.No errors are ever displayed.This has made the file explorer / windows explorer essentially worthless.Launching anything from the desktop is impossible.Currently the only way to get any work done is to open the app first then open the file.In my many years of wo

I started with the steps recommended by Kapil Arya. Part way through I switched to your suggestions and the File Explorer launched following a reboot following step3.

We suggest that you install the latest graphic driver in compatibility mode and see if it resolves the issue.

• Right click on the Setup file of the Driver
  and select Properties.
• Select Compatibility Tab.
• Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select the operating system accordingly from the drop down list.
• Click OK and run the setup.
