Windows 10: Cannot Launch Minecraft Launcher or Install Minecraft from Xbox app or Windows Store

Hello,I've recently upgraded to a new computer Lenovo Slim Pro 7 from my old computer Surface Pro 7. Everything works beautifully with the new computer except for Minecraft and the Minecraft Launcher. The Issue:When downloading the Minecraft Launcher both from the Microsoft Store and the webpage, the installation goes through, but when I try and launch the application I receive the error message: CLiP license device ID does not match the device ID in the bound device license. I've also tried launching the application through the Xbox app and Microsoft Store with the same message still

Unable to install Minecraft Java and Minecraft Launcher

You can try the following steps and see whether it helps. These steps should help you perform a clean install of Minecraft.

- Uninstall the Minecraft launcher from the Settings.

- Deleted all files located at C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\([Your User Name] is the part you should replace with your user name.)

- Uninstall the Xbox App (Find it in add or remove programs setting and uninstall) and reinstall it again.

- Download the launcher and try installing Minecraft Java Edition.

 

Minecraft for Windows not available on the Minecraft Launcher

I've already downloaded and installed Minecraft for Windows from the Microsoft Store.

I've also opened it (not from the Minecraft Launcher) and logged in to my Microsoft Account (the same one I'm using on my Minecraft Launcher).

The game works perfectly fine. However, if I try to open the official Minecraft Launcher, the game is still marked as incompatible and it won't let me launch the game from there.

I know I could just launch it without the Minecraft Launcher, but it'd be nice to be able to launch it from the Minecraft Launcher just like I would do it with Minecraft Java Edition.

Is there a way to fix this?

There are many reasons why you can't log in to Minecraft Launcher, but all of them are due to Microsoft Store and related services. I will provide several methods to try to solve this problem, please refer to the following steps for operation:

• Clear the cache on Microsoft Store.
  

1. Press the Windows logo key + R, type wsreset.exe, and select OK.
   
2. After a few seconds a blank command prompt window will appear, which will disappear after about ten seconds and the Microsoft Store will open automatically.This means the cache was cleared successfully.
   

• Make sure you're using the Microsoft Store Install Service.
  

1. Services.msc can be found by pressing Windows Key + S and typing services.msc.
   
2. Locate and double-click the Microsoft Store Install Service; if the status is Running, right-click it and select Restart.
   
3. Change it to Automatic if it's disabled, then click Start and OK.
   

• Reinstall the Microsoft Store app
  

1. Press Windows key + X
   
   Click and Run Windows PowerShell(run as Administrator)Copy and paste the command below then hit Enter:
   
   

• Reinstall the Minecraft Launcher
  

1. Click Start >Settings >Apps，find "Minecraft Launcher" in all apps.
   
2. Click on the "Minecraft Launcher" Advanced options >Uninstall the application.
   
3. Open the Microsoft Store, search for "Minecraft Launcher", download and install it again, and log in to your account to see if it works.
