Windows 10: Cannot log in child's account on new laptop

Got a new laptop went to log in for child after setting it up under my account, and adding can sign-in under Family for her account. During login it says it is sending a code to her email. There is never a code sent. Normally her codes go to my email. I never get a code and assume it would not since it is stating it is sending a code to her email, and again, it never sends her a code for anything normally. It only ever normally emails my email codes for her. I read on here similar issues and found recommendations to remove the child account and then readd it. I get the error "You can't remove

I suggest you to check if check if you are able to login online using the Child account. I suggest you to change the password for the child account by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X and select Control Panel.
• Click on Family Safety and select the child account.
• On the left navigation pane, select Change Password.
• Follow the on-screen prompts and check if the password is changed.
• Login with the new password and check if it helps.

Child Account Get Greyed Out

Thanks for the suggestion, but I did the following instead.

I have another laptop, 2 weeks old, with Windows 10 Home on it.

On that one, I tried the same steps with the child account, and got the exact same results.

• Are you trying to log into the child account using the child's device or computer?
• Have you tried removing the child account from the family account and add it again?
• Have you tried logging in the child account to other computer to check if the credentials are correct?
