Windows 10: Cannot log in with pin and password

Whenever I try logging into windows I get this message“Something happened and your PIN isn’t available. Click to set up your PIN again.”When I click “Set up my PIN” it doesn’t do anything and takes me back to the login page.When I go into Advanced Startup and choose Troubleshoot and then click Command Prompt, I choose the one and only account there is, and then it asks for a Password. It says“Enter the password for this account”When I enter my PIN it says incorrect password, and when I try my microsoft password or any other possible password it doesn’t work. I don’t know what password it wants

I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Click on Sign-in options on the log on screen. Select Microsoft account.
• Try logging in using Microsoft account and password.
• Once you log into the system, try to change the PIN under accounts/sign-in page.
• Select the Start
  
  button, then select
  Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.
• Try to reset the PIN.

Forgotten PIN and expired password

Thanks for your answer.

I tried steps of both links:

• #1: reset PIN code
  
  • I see no link "reset your PIN"on login page --> I can't reset it
    
• #2: change or reset windows password
  
  • My Windows account is not displayed at all on login page.
    
  • I am using a local account
    

If you have any other suggestion, I would be more than happy to try.

• Click Start menu and go to Settings.
• In Settings, click the Accounts icon.
• Click on Sign-in options.
• Change both your password and pin one by one.
