Windows 10: Cannot log into old PC after setting up windows 10 on my new PC

Hi all

This is a bit of a complicated question and I have not been able to find any answers to it. Basilly I bought a new PC with Windows 10 installed. I went through all of the setup process to register it, using the same email address, but a different from password that I was using on my exisiting PC. I wanted to use both of them at the same time, one each in a different room of the house.

The problem is that my new PC has setup perfectly fine and I can use it, but when I went to use my old PC I could get to the login screen but after typing in my password it would not log me in, saying that it is an incorrect password. So I tried the password for the new PC on it, thinking that it changed automatcially, but still no access.

I am not entirely sure what has happened here, but I think it might be becasue I used the same email address to link both accounts.

If anyone knows what has happened and can help sort this out so I can get back into my old PC I would be very grateful.

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
