Windows 10: Cannot log onto desktop

Logging onto computer. Computer has restarted itself and I now have to log in using a password instead of pin. I haven’t used a password before. I have tried using Microsoft password but it won’t work. Don’t know what to do.

I cannot always log onto internet message says DNS not found but all other computers can log on. This started after windows 10 was updated. Any suggestions? I do not want to reset to factory mode

Cannot log onto Cortana

When I tried to log onto Cortana I initially reset my Microsoft Password. It then asks me for my old password (the one that I originally logged on the the computer with) and I have tried entering it numerous times but it is not accepting it so I keep going
through an endless loop and am getting nowhere. I am not able to or offered the option to reset my "original password" either. Not sure what to do. Any suggestions are welcome.
