Windows 10: Cannot login to Microsoft Store - It wants a "work or school account"

I have my user account set up with my personal account *@outlook.com. My PC is activated with a license linked to my personal *@outlook.com.I cannot remove my user account without deleting all of my personal data. I just want to sign in to the Microsoft Store to play Minecraft. Please Help!

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

 

Can't Login to Windows 11 Store with Business/Work or School Account

Hi Together,

We have upgraded to the latest Windows 11 in our School network.

After the upgrade to win11, our users reported they can't login to her microsoft store and can not download apps anymore.

Is there a workaround or is there a plan to support business, work, school accounts for the win11 store again?

The current situation without supporting business accounts is not satisfactory for us for deploying more device with windows 11.

 

Unable to login to PC using Deleted School email account

I understand it can be frustrating when you are unable to access the PC using the university account.

1. Do you have any other user account configured on the PC?
   
2. Were you able to login using the new Microsoft account previously?
   
3. Did you purchase the Windows 10 license from Microsoft store?
   

As you have mentioned that the school email account have been deleted, in that case you may not be able to login to the PC using the same password.



Also, if you have purchased the license from Microsoft store then I suggest you to get in touch with the
Microsoft Accounts & Billing support team.
