Windows 10: Cannot login to new windows laptop - locked to new microsoft email address I set up that...

I set up a new email account for my son on his brand new windows laptop to login into windows. As he is under 18 it required verification via one of our microsoft accounts, but both failed to work. The next time we tried to log in to the new laptop it is locked to the new email I created for him but when I enter the password it says the email address doesn't exist and tells me to set up a new one. When I try to create a new email in the same name it says that the account does exist and is already taken. I have now set up a new microsoft account in my name that works online on another computer.

Delete Outlook email address and add new admistrator email

If you've created a new account, you can assign it as the new administrator account and delete the other one. For us to provide a suitable solution to your concern, we'd like to have some clarifications regarding the issue:

• Are you signing to your laptop using a Microsoft account?
• Are you able to sign in using the new email address you've created?
• Did you assign the newly created email address or user account as the new admin account?

In the meantime, if you can login using the new account that you've created, try creating a new admin account or setting it up as the new admin and delete the old one by following the steps in this
article.

Windows Login Email

• Go to "Settings" app, then click Accounts
• Click the Link for "login using a local account" and follow the steps through
• Go back to the same place and now link again to the correct/new email address.

 

Unable to login to OneDrive using new email address

• When you say, “I have updated to a new email address and updated Microsoft details” where exactly have you updated the details?
  
• Are you try to sign in to the OneDrive website or OneDrive Desktop app?
