  1. Cannot manage my account in Windows 11 - my login is linked to my husband's account

I've just got a new Windows 11 PC. I set up my account with no problem and then set up my husband's account on the same PC. That seemed to go OK but then we decided to keep our accounts separate so I deleted my husband's account. Now when I log in using my user name & PIN and go to "Change Account Setting", I can't make any changes as my log in is linked to my husband's account.Following this path...."Change Account Setting>Accounts:Your Info>Accounts/Manage My Account", brings up the page for my husband's account not mine, the screen then keeps refreshing I can't actually do anythin

    :)

Strange Windows 10 User Account issue.

Unfortunately I had done those steps numerous reboots, it just, reappears for no good reason. The base account isn't even a Microsoft account, it's a local account.

I haven't quite tried the built in administrator account on W10, but so far in my experience on my own computer, the built in account seemed to have absolutely no more control than I did on my own.

It's just strange, I go in, it warns me twice about deleting the account, then it's gone. Reboot, and it's back?

EDIT: Just to specify, both command line and Netplwiz both say only HIS account exists on the computer, it doesn't list this rogue account. This is what I meant in my first post about the fact that even Windows doesn't seem to believe it exists, HALF the time. *Frown Cannot manage my account in Windows 11 - my login is linked to my husband's account :(

Cannot manage my account in Windows 11 - my login is linked to my husband's account

Windows 8 with 2 Microsoft accounts?

That's a great idea, I can just create a link to the one drive folder on my primary account!
Will the files still sync if I'm logged in, but not active, and will the be any noticeable effect on performance?
