Windows 10: Cannot modify startup / Cannot save the task: error 0x0x80070057

Hi, been using program 'Exitlag' , and it was starting well on PC boot.When I updated to Win11 22h2 however, this program would not start on logon.methods Ive tried:adding to shell:startupon/off admin previlagescreating scheduled tasknone would work, and every other programs are starting and working fine. Support from this program says:" All customers who have reported this type of issue have corrected it by contacting microsoft for resolution and Startup Service Update. We extend your disappointment in having to go to microsoft to resolve this due to it being a bootable executable that needs

Actually, I like your suggestion as a first step.

Unchecking the wrong thing in Autoruns can brick a system.

 

Cannot modify Task Bar settings

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

• Right click on the Task Bar.
• Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."

Windows 10 - cannot add exec to Startup in Task Manager

I purchased a new computer with Windows 10 already installed. I am trying to add an exec to the startup list but Win10 will not accept it. The exec runs successfully on my Windows 10 machine if I start it manually.

Steps I've taken: Task Manager, Startup Tab, File>Run New Task. (browse to location, select.) It will start immediately, but does not show up on the list to autostart, nor does it start on reboot.

Any suggestions?
