Cannot Navigate to a Network Location Using Address Bar

Hi Community,I have a Windows 10 user that has several mapped network drives. The user would prefer to use the address bar located at the top of file explorer to get to a network drive location, such as entering \\remote-network-locationin the address bar I marked with the red X. The user can get to the network locations through the side navigation just fine or from the mapped network locations, but cannot reach them through the method he prefers. I cannot replicate this issue on my system - meaning I can use the address bar to access the same network locations that this user cannot access.

    :)

Add a button to the address bar.

I would like to add the Zoom button to my new Edge address bar. Have found the following how to do it on the web but they don't work like the instructions say.

How to manage the address bar buttons on Microsoft Edge

To customize the buttons that appear next to the address bar, use these steps:

    1. Open Microsoft Edge.
    2. Click the Settings and more menu button on the top-right corner. (I assume that is the three dots in a row)
    3. Select the Show in toolbar sub-menu. (Don't see 'Show in toobar)
    4. Click the action button that you want to add or remove from the toolbar.

      Thanks for any help.

      Almost forgot, W10 ver 1909.

  3. How to clear Address Bar in Windows 10

    Hi Jack,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. Let me help you.

The address bar appears at the top of every folder window and displays your current location as a series of links separated by arrows. You can navigate to a different location by clicking a link or by typing the path of a location.

If you want to delete the address bar history, follow the below procedure.

    • Right click on the Address Bar

    • Click on Delete History
I hope the information helps. If you need any further assistance, please feel free to contact us again. We will be happy to assist you accordingly.

    • What is the current build and version of the Windows 10 device that you are using?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
    • Are you referring to the automatic search when typing in the address bar?

We will wait for your response.
