Windows 10: Cannot open ANY windows 10 apps--tried every fix imaginable

I have tried every single fix listed anywhere on the internet. Wsreset, reinstalling using powershell, clearing the cache folders, even did a repair install of windows, and also did a "reset this pc" and had it erase all data and reinstall windows --and i chose reinstall from the cloud option that seems to be a new option i hadnt seen before. Even after reinstalling windows, the first thing we tried was to open the microsoft store, and it just opens for 2 seconds and then closes. This is the same behavior with ALL windows apps photos, feedback, etc.


I did try to start a clean install using a recovery drive i created on another computer using the media creation tool, but when i try to boot to that usb i get this error: "cannot find script file "X\onekey\main\lrscall.vbs"".


At this point, im thinking i just need to replace the SSD drive with a new one, but this doesnt feel like a hard drive issue, otherwise it would affect other things besides just windows apps.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
