Windows 10: Cannot open, extract or delete compressed zip folder in Windows 11

I have just received a brand new laptop with Windows 11 and I downloaded a folder from Dropbox onto my desktop.Problem is I get this error message when I try to extract...And I get this error message when I try to delete the zip folder...So at the moment the folder is stuck on my computer and I cannot do anything with it.Any ideas?

I have downloaded my music from a knowhow cloud storage onto my new laptop. It has appeared in my downloads, but when I try to extract the data, I receive the message "cannot complete the compressed (zipped) folders extraction wizard.

The compressed (zipped) folder is empty. Before you can extract files, you must copy files to this compressed (zipped folder.

Please are you able to advise?

Other potentially useful info:

I'm on windows 10 using a new laptop

the file size is 4GB so there is something in it

when I double click on the file, I receive message - "windows cannot open the folder. The compressed (zipped) folder 'folder name' is invalid

any help would be great...

A zipped file i sent to someone had same problem. I simply had to compress it again and send it. Any ideas why it happens. Thanks in advance.

 

not able to open zipped and compressed files using windows 10

up until just a few days ago I was able to open zipped/compressed files just by right clicking on them and clicking extract files. Now I just constantly a pop up saying "Cannot Complete the compressed (zipped) folders extraction wizard. and that the compressed
(zipped) folder is empty and before you can extract files, you must copy files to the compressed (zipped) folder)

What could have happened all of a sudden to make it impossible for me to open them
