Windows 10: Cannot open pictures of my iPhone from file explorer

Cannot open pictures of my iPhone from file explorer. I used to view my iPhone pictures one by one from file explorer and then select which ones to copy to my pc. I did it in this Jul and it worked properly. But recently, I got an error “Photos can’t open this file because the format is unsupported or the file is corrupted” when I clicked the picture icon.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

  Open File Explorer.
  
• 
  Click on View Tab.
  
• 
  Select Detail panel.
  
• 
  Now if you click on any picture or file you will be able to see the information at the top right corner.

Clear the 'cache' in file explorer for already used picture tags?


If you set some tags for your *.jpg pictures, the windows 10 file explorer shows them in the "details pane" on the right side.





This list can get very long and with some wrong or no longer used entries.
How can I clear this list / cache / suggestions?

Or how can I stop the file explorer to suggests already used Tags?

 

How does File Explorer know if an imported Iphone Picture is NEW?

I plug my Iphone to my laptop. The Iphone then appears in File Explorer as a Device. I then right click on the Iphone and tell it to import pictures. It then analyses the Iphone pics and gives you a list of pics grouped by date. They you select what ones
to import. If the pics have already been imported those pics are not checked. So File Explorer seem to know what pics have been imported already or not. You can manually deselect but with 6000 pics it takes awhile.
