Windows 10: Cannot open Quicken 2020 after update

Hi,


I just updated Quicken 2020, Version R26.23, Build 27.1.26.23, and now cannot log in. The file opens up and then opens up to the Quicken online log in page. It doesn't stay very long and I get a white Quicken screen.


I've been on the phone with Quicken's tech support and progressed though their trouble shooting procedures even reloading Quicken. I tried creating a new quicken test file and a Bugsplat window popped up. Quicken said it a problem with Microsoft's operating system.


Windows version is; Windows 10 Home, Version: 1903, Build: 18362.900.


Has anyone else run into this problem and have a fix?

Can't open Quicken using Microsoft 10

However, please let us know:

• Do you get any error message when you try to open Quicken?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.

Quicken ID not recognized in Quicken 2019 after 1903 update

• When you say, “Quicken 2019 will no longer recognize Quicken” what happens when you try to sign in to Quicken 2019?
  
• Do you receive any error message/code? If yes, what is the error message/code?

Cant open quicken files

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand your concern regarding the issue that you are facing.

• What the exact error message you are getting?

Please be informed that Quicken 2002 might not be compatible with Windows 10.

I suggest you to install that program in compatibility mode and check.

Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.

Follow these steps to install the program in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

a. Download the program from the manufacturer’s website.

b. Right-click on the program setup file and click on
‘properties’.

c. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box
‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer.
