    I am tasked with imaging multiple machines. I have chosen to use DISM on WinPE to apply a custom .WIM file to the Windows partition. This .WIM contains custom software.How can we modify the .WIM so that OOBE uses an answer key? The only option we want on OOBE is Wi-Fi and system name.I have Googled for a few days but all the tutorials insist on using a .ISO which I don't have. I have a .WIM.Another tutorial uses WSIM to modify the .WIM. However when I try opening the .WIM I get this error:9:49 AM : This application requires version 10.0.18362.1 of the Windows ADK.Install this version to corr

    Open .wim files on Windows 10

    I have Windows 10 on my HP Pavilion All-In-One. Had some issues and needed to reset to factory settings. Before I reset everything I ran a Backup on my Toshiba external hard drive in removable storage D:

    How do I open these files now on my hard drive? They are listed as .wim files. If I double click and attempt to open OR right click and select Open With, it tells me to open with an app from the app store. I actually downloaded an app, "Extractor RT" which
    did not work.

    How do I open these .wim files?

    The only posts I could find on this are for Windows 7 or earlier and do not apply to my situation or setup. Help please! There are some files I need in particular that are in excel, powerpoint and word.
