Windows 10: Cannot Paste Text into Microsoft Email Reply

I have seen this question asked all the way back to 2020, and never once seen an answer. Now, it is happening to me. I am trying to reply to an email, in Mail for Windows not Outlook. When I try to paste, Ctrl-V does nothing. When I right click, a box pops up saying "Drawing Canvas". If I click it, two lines defining an area appear, but paste is still not possible. Since there is no Edit tab, I am at a loss for what to try next. It appears that there have been hundreds of Mail users effected by this over the past two years and no resolution. How do I select and copy paste text from sms or email?

• Ctrl + C - Copy text.
• Ctrl + V - Paste text.
• Ctrl + X - Cut text.
• Ctrl + A - Select all.

 

How to send an email that a phone receives as a text?

At my office, we want to have the ability to communicate with our electricians who are fairly low tech people. They don't check emails often, but text messaging would work fine for our need. I know with Verizon and Sprint you can using the text messaging app on the phone to text an email, and then if you reply to say L: 9995724770@VTEXT.COM that email will go to the phone as a text message.

Short of having all the electricians text an email to get these addresses, is there an easier way to go about this? I've never really dealt with mass texting before. Is say a Droid phone capable of sending a text to 40 people?

After having my Samsung Omnia 7 for a week (WHAT A SUPERB DEVICE TO BE SURE), I have been unable so far to, for instance, MARK, COPY text from anywhere on my device into an email or note. I can sometimes persuade it to mark a block of text but tapping
then holding produces no menu at all. This is utterly frustrating as I run a small business and have prepared text to reply to a variety of enquiries
