Windows 10: Cannot play games when previously I could

For some reason, my laptop v15 g2 stopped allowing me to run games properly, on steam and the minecraft launcher. Previously, I could run all of my games incredibly smoothly and without issue, but now I cannot. When I try to play minecraft, it crashes, and when I use steam to play games which dont use an external client, they fail to open. When I play a game which DOES use an external client on steam for example GTA V, which ive been playing very smoothly as of late, it opens perfectly fine, but then when i proceed to actually play the game, beyond the menu, the fps drops to 2. There are several reasons why you're encountering issues in playing games you've previously downloaded. One of these is when the account that owns the license of the game, is not signed in to the console. Kindly provide us the following information for us
to determine the root cause:

• Are you using the Microsoft account you've used to purchase the game?
• Are you trying to access the game online or offline?
• Is your device connected to a wired or a wireless network?
• Have you made any changes to your device before encountering this issue?
• Are you getting any error messages?

BSOD When playing games

Please share the information requested below:

• Does the BSOD occur while playing a particular game?
• Is the game downloaded from Windows Store?

I suggest you to update the Graphic Card drivers by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters.
• Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update.
