Windows 10: Cannot recive email from Microsoft

I forget my pin code of my labtop when I trying to open. After I click the "I forget my PIN", it shows Microsoft will send me an email with a code; however, I can not recive that email with code

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

To add an email to your contacts, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:-

1. Open Yahoo Mail, click on the Contacts icon.
2. Now click on a contact.
3. Click Edit Details.
4. Add email address to the contact.
5. Click Save.

If you are using Mail App and want to edit contacts stored in People App, I suggest you to refer to following article under
Edit contacts
for steps to edit the contact and add an email.

Is "*** Email address is removed for privacy ***" - the legal Microsoft email or not?

Hello!

I recived an email from "*** Email address is removed for privacy ***" with title "Welcome to Designer" like I've start using this one but I've never visited Microsoft Designer.

Also, as I checked, to start using Microsoft Designer I should recive and put an unique code from recived email - but I didn't receive an email for that.

Am I right that this email - like a phishing and I need to block this sender?

Thank you for reaching us on the forum with your concern.



As per the issue description you have two email id's and you want to change your secondary email to primary on your pc.



I would suggest you to switch the login account to Local user account. Then switch back to Microsoft account which you want to use. You may follow the steps provided below:



Step 1: Switch to local user account

Follow these steps to create a “Local User account”.

• Press “Windows key +W”.
• Type “users” without quotes in the search box.
• Then select “Users” from the left panel.
• You will get an option “Switch to a Local account” right below your user account name.
• Select “Switch to a local account” option.
• Enter the required details.
• Then login to the local account and check how it works.

Step 2: Switch back to Microsoft account

Follow these steps to create a “Microsoft account”.

• Press “Windows key +W”.
• Type “users” without quotes in the search box.
• Then select “Users” from the left panel.
• Select “Switch to Microsoft account” right below your user account name.
• Enter the required details (Primary Email ID).
• Restart the computer and then try to login using new Primary account.
