    Cannot Remove Canadian Multilingual Standard


    Hi all,Bought this laptop in Canada. I am aiming to get the keyboard to simply be plain English, but cannot get rid of the Canadian Multilingual Standard CMS in the keyboard input language bar. I'm aiming to only need to switch between English and Mandarin but the CMS keeps getting in the way. This is particularly annoying since it's an extra Win+Space away to switch, but even if I let it be, it brings in the french accent E on a "?" key. Here's what I'm able to get immediately after going into keyboard settings each time, exactly what I want:Here's what shows after any restart or sign out:M

    For us to help you change into Canadian Multilingual Keyboard, we'd like to ask a few questions. Kindly answer the following questions:

    • Are you getting an error message as you try to switch to Canadian Multilingual Standard?
    • Have you tried removing and adding back the Canadian Multilingual Standard layout?
    • Is this also happening on a different user account?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    The keyboard changing to Canadian Multilingual Standard on its own

    My keyboard keeps changing to Canadian Multilingual Standard (ENG CMS) on its own. How can I remove this keyboard as an option so that it does not happen? I only want the US Keyboard (ENG US) listed as an option.

    In previous versions of Windows I just changed the region of the PC to US, but in Windows 10 it prevents Cortana from working.

    Cannot Remove Canadian Multilingual Standard

    I have removed the Canadian Multilingual Standard because it is not compatible with Excel, but it keeps returning!

    I have removed the Canadian Multilingual Standard because it is not compatible with Excel, but it keeps returning like a bad penny, and usually when I least want it to. Please help me correct this problem as it makes data entry a real pain in Excel. I
    don't want to have to keep repeating the erase process (even though I can't see the Canadian Multilingual Keyboard in settings anymore).

    I am using a Mac with Parallels 14 and the most up to date version of Office 365.
