    Cannot rename Domain user profile


    I have a domain user profile that has issues so I need to rename it to username.old so I can create a new profile. However, it prompts a "File or folder in use" error. Usually when I get these, I just restart and log in with a local admin account and have no issue. But, it still persists. What's going on here and how can I get around it? Tried searching in resource monitor and there are no results for programs using that user's folder

    Migrate Locale Profile to Domain

    I removed my reply because watching those instructions on TechNet I started wondering if they really work with Windows 10.

    Anyway, whatever you try create first a dummy profile, customize it a bit and move it to domain. If everything works, you can then move real profiles.
