Windows 10: Cannot reset pc, caught in boot/crash loop

Hi!

I had an unusual problem occur today. Whilst playing a game on steam, my computer blue screened. It came up with the error message


- critical process died.

Since then, i have been unable to do anything. I can still boot the computer in safe mode but it soon crashes/blue screens.

i have gone to the length of doing a system reset but i get the message


“There was a problem resetting your pc. No changes were made.”

I have tried sfc scannow which fails after about 30-40% verification and resets the computer. Likewise for chkdsk


Sometimes when the computer restarts it will load up uefi bios utility automatically.


im at my wits end, the whole thing seems so sudden and impossible to fix. I have backed up most of my regular files in the recent past to my google drive so im not too concerned about a complete factory reset. But it doesnt even seem to allow me that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this computer is my main work tool.

pc is roughly 7-8 years old

- microsoft 10

- 2 disc drives. One 200gb ssd and one 2tb hd

- amd rsdeon hd 7800 series display adaptor

- one dvd drive

- intel core i5 4670 3.40ghz cpu

-realtek hd audio

-qualcomm Atheros wireless network adaptor

- asus z87 sabertooth motherboard

Dell Inspiron Caught In Boot Loop After Resetting Windows

Hello again! I am experiencing an issue with my Dell Inspiron 15 3565 powering on for roughly 10-15 seconds, before performing a hard shutdown, where it sits for about 5 seconds before powering on again, only to repeat the cycle. I had to reset Windows
due to it being very slow, and chose to reset it via the cloud. All went smoothly until it had finished, where it is now caught in a boot loop where it displays the Dell logo. I am afraid of shutting it down manually, because I don't want to ruin my drive.
What could I do to fix this issue? Thanks in advance.

Windows 10 Factory Reset Infinite Boot Loop

Hello,

As you are facing issue with Boot loop, I suggest you to perform a Startup Repair by following the steps provided below:

• Go to the Microsoft software download website and create Windows 10
  installation media.
• Insert the installation media you created, and then restart your PC.
• On the Install Windows screen, select Repair your computer.
• On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot>Advanced Options.
• Click on Startup Repair.

After the repair is complete, check for status.
