Windows 10: Cannot resolve this issue: "A media driver your computer needs is missing" on fresh install.

I have been having this problem for a few days. Brand new build.

I made a USB boot drive on my Mac, using the NTFS file system (I downloaded a piece of software to allow for NTFS file system on Mac) and the most recent ISO for Windows 10 from the Microsoft site.

It auto-runs fine, but always stops after the "Install now" screen with "A media driver your computer needs is missing..".

I have tried the switching the USB after that happens, multiple reinstalls of the boot USB...but NOTHING works.

Has anyone else come across this? Feel like I have wasted money on a PC build right now.

• Did you make any changes prior to this issue?
• What and all steps have you tried so far?

It could be due to incorrect settings or missing/corrupt drivers or missing updates.

I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check if it helps.

Restart the computer a few times and check for Windows Updates.

In the Search box on the taskbar, enter Windows Update, select Windows Update. On the Windows Update page, select Check for updates.

Then try to update the display drivers.
