    Running Windows 10 Pro on my desktop.I run Hotspot Shield VPN all the time - ok,Then Hotspot Shield VPN does an update -ok.However, it removes both its icon and program listing in windows start.Settings shows Hotspot Shield is installed, BUT I cannot run, simply because, its icon and program listing is both not shown?So cannot click on anything to run it?Always happens when Hotspot does its update 2-3 times each year. I think this is a windows bug?A work-around is to UNinstall Hotspot - then INstall Hotspot again? But in Windows, how do I get windows to create and display an installed progra

    HotSpot Shield

    Hi thomlyons,

    To uninstall HotSpot Shield you need to disable the VPN profile first. If you don't know how, please contact HotSpot Shield support for assistance. Once you have disabled the VPN profile follow the steps below to uninstall the app.

    1. Go to the app list and look for HotSpot Shield.

    2. Touch and hold the app.



    3. Then tap uninstall.

    Hotspot Shield VPN Accusation

    Used Hotspot Shield few years ago. Greatly effected speed and was difficult to remove. Not surprised about this accusation.

    Hotspot Shield is also affected. Possibly a compromised API that the VPNs are using?
