Windows 10: Cannot run Microsoft Visual Studio Installer after accidentally deleting files, used system...

I had an issue where I cannot run the online Visual Studio Installer Community 2022 or 2019 installer after accidentally deleting files. I used the system restore point at 1/4/2023 6:54 PM. I was able to run the installers but it gave the errors: A product matching the following parameters cannot be foundchannelUri: "https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/channel"productID: Microsoft.VisualStudio.Product.CommunityOriginally when I downloaded Visual Studio I downloaded the wrong version of it for Unreal Engine 5. I used 2022 which was intensive on my memory compared to 2019. So I ended up uninstalling 20

Can't Run Installer for Visual Studio 2017

Hello,

I want to install Visual Studio 2017 but the installer doesn't seem working. If I run it, nothing happens.

If I run

I want to report this to VS team but it seems there's no way to submit my report without VS or its installer, which neither I can run now (which is ridiculous).

If you start uninstalling bits and pieces then some parts of the program, or older programs, may fail to work properly. Did you select all these so called extras or were they installed automatically. If the latter then you may need them?

Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Is Imminent

Microsoft has signed off on Visual Studio 2008 and is expected to release it early next week—on November 19th. Earlier this month Microsoft committed to ship Visual Studio 2008, formerly code-named Orcas, by the end of November. The company is making good on that commitment and is expected to have Visual Studio RTM (release to manufacturing) on Nov. 19, according to sources and Microsoft blogs. The tool-set will be available on the MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network). "Visual Studio 2008 is anticipated out early next week, with availability for subscribers," the MSDN blog said in a late-night post on Nov. 16. Visual Studio 2008 and the .Net Framework 3.5 enable developers at all levels to rapidly create connected applications for Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, the 2007 Microsoft Office system, mobile devices and the Web. Microsoft's Visual Studio Team System is also expected to ship by the end of November.
