Windows 10: Cannot Screen Mirror through PhoneLink, showing Error Code 801

Hi, as it is shown in the image, my phone OPPO Reno 12 Pro CN Rom is connected through the same Wi-Fi which is literally 120 cm away from the celular, and my laptop, which is LG Gram, is also connected through same Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi that is connected is 5G network provided through Huawei Wi-Fi celular as I'm currently in China. Firstly, I thought it was due to VPN, as the Chinese PhoneLinks have restrictions of VPNs, which have a message of 'As the phone do not supoort roaming, we are not able to connect it outside of China Mainland' or similar messages. Phone link not showing phone screen - error 801

Hi.

I have linked my Samsung Galaxy s10e to my phone link app of my Dell Inspiron 15 3000 laptop (windows 11) and I can see notifications, make phone calls and the like. I cannot however see the phone screen. every time I try the app shows a warning saying we're having trouble showing your devices - error code 801.

I tried troubleshooting but nothing seem to work. Can anyone help? Thanks

 

Your Phone App - Cannot Open Phone Screen - Error Code 801

I have been using your phone for sometime and everything was working fine. Suddenly for no apparent reason it will not open my phone screen, just comes up with error code 801, everything else on the app works fine and it says it is connected to my phone. I have tried the "Repair" and "Reset" functions for this app and worked through everything on the trouble shooting pages but nothing works. I though about uninstalling and reinstalling the App but it won't let me uninstall. Any suggestions as to how I can correct this?

There is a way for you to control the remote screen whenever you are trying to mirror it from one device to another. To provide you an appropriate solution, please provide us the following information:

• Which device are you using to mirror on your laptop?
• Are you using an app to mirror the device on your laptop?
• Are you able to use your mouse and keyboard on your laptop even if you are not playing a game while mirroring it from a device?

If you haven't tried to use your mouse outside a game while projecting to the PC, you may follow the steps below to allow your mouse and keyboard to control the remote screen:

• Open Action Center.
• Click the Connect button.
  
• Click the name of the device you're trying to project.
  
• Check the Allow input from a keyboard or mouse connected to this display
  option as necessary.
