  1. Cannot scroll down and see the PDF Attached to my email. Windows 10 Desktop Computer

I am using a Windows 10 Desktop Computer, I receive my efax into my email. I need to be able to print the efax. It comes attached as a PDF file at the bottom of the email.

I cannot scroll down to see the PDF attachment, so I cannot click on it to print it.

I can get into my email on my iphone, I can see and click on the PDF attachment on my iphone and open it. But I need this to work on my Desktop computer to print it out at the office. I have tried it with my hotmail, yahoo, and gmail accounts. Same with all of them.

    :)

  3. Mail app won't show pdf attachments

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand the concern as you are unable to see the PDF attachments in the Email received in Mail app and sent through Gmail from phone.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

    • What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 installed? (Type winver
      in Windows search/Run command)
    • What is the Version of Mail app installed on the PC?
    • Is the issue specific to PDF attachments or all file format attachments?
    • What is the recipient’s email account domain on the mail app?
    • Did you check the email on a web browser, if you are able to access the PDF attachments?
    • Did you try sending email with attachments from a different Email account, to check if notice the same issue?

If you are able to see the PDF attachments using a web browser and if this issue occurs only with PDF files, then we would suggest you to perform a reset of Mail app.

    Reset App

    1. Press Windows + I key to open Windows
      Settings.
    2. Click on Apps and select
      Apps & feature
      from the left pane.
    3. Scroll and look for the Mail & Calendar app.
    4. Select the app and click on Advanced option.
    5. Click on Reset and once you see a tick mark, then relaunch and check.

  4. Cannot scroll down and see the PDF Attached to my email. Windows 10 Desktop Computer

    Saving PDF Email Attachments

Microsoft recently released an app into the Windows Phone Marketplace that can only be installed to 8.1 devices, called Files. You can click
this link to get it after your phone is upgraded to 8.1.

The Files app lets you view any files that have been downloaded to the phone's memory and any files that have been copied over from a desktop computer. If you have download a PDF file, it will be found in the download file folder; if you copy the file over
form a desktop computer, you can find the file in the Documents folder. If you want to email the PDF files in the Download or Documents folder as an attachment to an outgoing email that you are sending from the phone, you can now open up the Files app, find
the file you want to send, press & hold your finger on it, and select "Share" from a pop up menu. The PDF file is attached to the email in the same way that an Office file would be attached to an email.

So if you want to reply to an email and attach a PDF file that is stored in the phones storage, you will be able to do that after your phone is upgraded to 8.1, after you install the Files app to the phone and only for files that are stored in either of
    those folders.

I wanted to take it a step further, so I emailed myself some PDF files as attachments. When I received the email on my phone, I wanted to see where the attached PDF files would be show up. Unfortunately, they don't show up in any of the folders that are
accessible via the Files app. So PDF files that you receive on the phone as attachments might still be an issue for some folks.

    ================================================

You might also want to go check out the
PDF Reader app (the one with the purple icon)
, which can be installed on a Windows Phone 8.0 or 8.1. This app opens password protected files (which a lot of people want to do); and you can also attach files that are stored in its 'sandbox' as attachments
to email. It can only do this for GMail or Microsoft email.

I think I'm going to write this up as an article with some screenshots and publish it to my blog...I'll reply again with a link to the blog article once I've gotten it published.
