Windows 10: Cannot select account on start up repair, reset this pc etc

Hi,I've been trying to delete a work application from my surface pro but when asked for admin user and password there is no text box to fill in and for some reason I am not the admin so unsure of these anyway. Only admin in accounts is the windows set up account and it is disabled and I can't enable it in computer management due to access being denied. I can only log in as my user, there is no family and other people tab in account settings to try and amend administrator account.I've been trying to reset or repair my surface pro in advanced start up mode to try and reset admin settings but it

Unable to reset the pc

Hello,

If you are having that message while trying to reset your computer, We suggest you to create an installation media for Windows 10 using Media
Creation Tool and perform a Reset.

Once the installation media is created, follow the steps below:

• Insert the installation media you created, and then restart your PC.
• On the Install Windows screen, select Repair your computer.
• On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot. From there, you can use Safe Mode. Select
  Advanced Options >Reset This PC>Remove everything.
• After the reset is complete, check for status.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

 

Two PCs go in to automatic repair mode after Windows 10 update

• If prompted, select an administrator account to provide credentials for approval, type in the password and click
  Continue.
• Startup Repair will now start Diagnosing your PC, and will attempt to automatically repair it.
