Windows 10: Cannot select default app for file type

Hello,

I am trying to set a default application for a file extenstion but it doesn't save.



When doing that, it opens the application in the correct application: notepad++, but it doesn't update it to windows, so when i try to just double click on the file, it still opens it in normal notepad. When trying to set the default program again, the checkbox is unclicked(without the correct mark) and thats basicly an endless loop.

Please help me

Can't Select Photoshop as a Default App

I've just downloaded Photoshop CC2018 and tried to make it the default photo viewer, but it does not appear in the list of apps that I can select from. Have also tried doing the same for opening .jpg files, but just the same, no Photoshop! I have rebooted the system a couple of times but it makes no difference.

Any suggestions?

To resolve your concern, kindly choose the default apps by file type. To do this, follow these steps:

• Click the Windows logo (Start button).
• Click the gear icon (Settings).
• Choose System.
• Select Default apps.
• Click Choose default apps by file type.
• Check all of the video file type, and then check if you can change the default app to your preferred application.

How do you set the Kindle app to be defaulted to .mobi file type? I don't find the .mobi file type listed as a file type.
