Windows 10: Cannot select, Private, in Settings>Network & Internet>Ethernet>Ethernet Connected>Network...

I cannot select the Private radio button, in Settings>Network & Internet>Ethernet>Ethernet Connected>Network Profile. The Network Profile, Public, radio button is selected when I get there. When I click to select the Private button, the public button is unselected AND the private button remains unselected! The private button is never selected after waiting for minutes and the public button remains unselected as well. I finally have to close this window. When I return here, the private button is selected once again.I have three Windows 10 at 21H1 or 21H2. Two easily switched to

configure two network type wifi public and Ethernet private


Hello,

I have two network adapters in Windows 10 one wifi for connecting to internet and one Ethernet for local network.
I need to configure wifi adapter to public network and Ethernet to private network but i can't.

Inverse it work ( wifi to private and Ethernet to public ) but I don't need that.
(only wifi adapter have option to be discoverable by others pd in Network Settings -> advanced options )


I need to share files by Ethernet AND NOT by wifi.

Any suggestion?

ETHERNET OPTION IS NOT THERE IN NETWORK AND INTERNET SETTINGS

Mostly I use wifi for internet but recently I want to use LAN (wired) connection for internet but it is not working. then i recoginze there was no ethernet option in network and internet settings, i updated drivers of realtek ethernet which was suggested
by support assistant of dell and it is installed but that was not showing in my device manager. So how can i get ethernet connection?

You can change this setting by following the below steps:

- Open Settings

- Select Network & Internet

- Select Ethernet (left-hand side)

- Select the entry underneath the Ethernet heading (might show as LAN, ethernet, local area network etc)

- Select the button next to Private
