Windows 10: Cannot set 4 Digit Pin to log into Windows

Hello,I am trying to change my PIN to log into Windows. I only want it as a 4 digit pin as it's a personal computer at home and I am not worried about someone hacking it. When I try to reset it to 4 digits, it tells me "Provide a PIN that meets the complexity requirements. Your PIN must be at least 6 characters long". screenshot below I thought this was due to Group Policy settings, but when checking the Group Policy Settings screenshot below, they are set to default not configured allowing 4 digit PIN's to be used. Any insight would be appreciated.

• Do let us know what exactly happens when you try to access the 4-digit PIN on your device?
• What is the complete error message/ error code of this issue?

If you are not comfort to enter long letters of password, you
may also create the 4 digit PIN which will reduce your time to enter full password.

Follow the below steps.

• Press Windows + I keys to open
  settings menu.
• Click on Accounts.
• Click on Sign in options.
• Click on Add under PIN.
• Follow the onscreen instructions to create Pin.
• Sign out and try to sign in again using PIN as your Sign in option.

NOTE: Make sure that your device is connected to internet connection.

Laptop 4 digit password I can't log in

To better assist you regarding your concern, we would like to ask some questions:

• Are you referring to removing the existing PIN?
• Are you referring to inability to log in because you forgot your PIN?
• If so, do you have other user account on your computer who has an administrator access?

If you have other user account on your computer that has administrator access, you can log in to that account and from there you can use the "I forgot my PIN" option to reset it. However, be guided that you need to remember your password(The one you use when
accessing your Microsoft account). To do so, follow the steps below:

• Go to Settings
• Click Accounts
• Click Sign-in options
• Click I forgot my PIN
• Click Continue
• Enter your Password
• Click OK
• Set up a new PIN (Enter at least a minimum 4 digit new PIN)
• Click OK
