Windows 10: Cannot set up autologon.

No matter what I do I cannot enable auto logon on my freshly installed copy of Windows 10 Pro. I am told that "The Username or Password is incorrect.Try again." I enter the details and all is OKay. I really am at a loss as to what to do now.

How do autologon work?

Referring to following link, I would like to know on whether this tools help to login 2 different user accounts after restart or not.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've problem with autologon. I have set all the features of Regedit to Autologon. All settings are okay. But when i restart computer, it shows the user name i entered but there are 2 boxes under that username. 1. of asks Enter your e-mail adress or phone
number, 2. of asks Password. This computers on domain but there is no gp about autologon. And i have so many pc works with autologon.

After that I also blocked microsoft login from Gpedit. (Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Polices > Security Options)

But my problems continue. can you help please?

 

Windows 10 autologon failing repeatedly

Using Windows 10; for years have had autologon set (via netplwiz) and working properly to log me into MS account at boot on my personal machine.

Occasionally following an update, the autologon would not work, though settings appear not to have changed. No error messages; just wouldn't automatically login. Resetting would fix the problem for indefinite period, until next random similar event. ("Reset"
being:

• open netplwiz
• check box requiring login and apply/OK
• reopen netplwiz
• uncheck the require-login box and fill in passwords
• A-OK on next and subsequent boots.

This week the problem has returned, but the "reset" does not work more than one boot sequence. After a second or subsequent reboot, Windows 10 goes back to requiring manual login.

What is happening; and, please, how to fix it?
