Windows 10: Cannot setup Windows 11 due to network, keyboard issues.

Hi,I recently installed Windows 11 on a new boot drive on my laptop swapped old boot drive for an upgrade. However, as I am going through Windows 11 setup, I reach the connect to network step and see that there are no available networks. Searching around, I found that this is likely due to missing network drivers, so I downloaded the drivers onto a USB drive to install them on the new boot drive. But when I go to command prompt to follow the steps found in the guide at aka.ms/networksetup I find that typing does not work. Shift+f10 works, turning on and off functions of the laptop like airp

The touch keyboard is missing in the Windows 11 setup screens

Microsoft is aware of a known issue in Windows 11, version 22H2, that causes the touch keyboard to not appear in the Windows 11 setup screens after resetting Windows. Microsoft is currently working on a solution that will be released in an upcoming Windows update.

If you experience this issue, there are two options that will let you work around this issue. You can either:

1. Connect your device to a physical keyboard to complete Windows Setup, or
   
2. You can choose to shut down your device and restart Windows. The touch keyboard should appear after restarting.
   

 

The touch keyboard is missing in the Windows 11 setup screens

I have Windows 11, version 22H2, installed on my tablet PC. Since it’s a tablet, I use the touch keyboard to type directly on the touchscreen.



I needed to reset Windows, and now I’m going through Windows setup screens, however the touch keyboard isn’t appearing in the setup screens this time. As a result, I can’t enter a password on the “Let’s connect you to a network” screen to proceed to the next step.

This issue could have occurred due to these reasons:

1. Damaged hardware.

2. Missing Windows Updates.

3. Corrupt keyboard driver.

Method 1:

I suggest you to connect an external keyboard and check if the issue persists or not.

Method 2:

I suggest you to download and install latest keyboard driver from the manufacturer website and check if it helps.
