    I have a desktop and a laptop which both run Windows 11. I am trying to share a folder from my PC to my Laptop. When I try to access the folder on the laptop using the path: `//DESKTOP/Installers` Installers is the shared folder. I get a "The specified network password is not correct". I am using my Microsoft account and it's definitely the correct password. I did recently change this password online which could be related.Here are the steps I took to share the folder on the PC.This is the error I am getting on the Laptop.This is a really frustrating issue, it's 2022 and I can't share files

    I get a similar list. If I'm interpreting it correctly, it shows that the C:, P: and R: drives on the laptop are shared (but strangely not the D: drive, even though "Properties" shows that it's shared); and that the same drives (including the D: drive) on the desktop are shared.

    The sharing is what I had set up, with the exception of the missing laptop D: drive. But while everything else seems ok, I still get the wrong-password error when I try to map a laptop drive - such as the P: drive - from the desktop.

    I had already tried using hostname\username, but my username is an Office 365 e-mail that is not connected to any host name. Could it be that you can't share using that kind of username? If so, the error message is grossly misleading and it's a very unfortunate thing not to support.

    I went to "Advanced Sharing Settings" and managed to find "Password Protected Sharing" under "All Networks." I turned it off on both computers, and then got the following message from each computer when trying to access the other:
